New anime this week, as the last screening brought us voting for a new Fantasy series in the form of the political drama “Why Raeliana ended up at the Duke’s mansion”! Raeliana, dropped into the world of a Fantasy book series, works to avoid her doom at the hands of her villainess fiancée; a story that might sound familiar to POWA, but this is a whole different kind of doom avoiding mission!

On other voting, POWA has its first vote for our Action & Sports series Lycoris Recoil – a vote it passed – but this week brings with it… no voting! Been a few weeks since that has happened, but before long we will be voting again, as our Slice of Life/Romance series Super Cub took a turn for the dramatic as it enters its last few episodes – so perhaps it’s time to start putting together a list of shows you think would do well in replacing it?

Thanks, too, to those who joined us for our monthly Online Discord Games Night! Star Wars: Battlefront 2 remains just as entertaining as it was in 2005 when it released; though perhaps a little less stable on modern hardware than one would like. That said, there is that shiny remake coming out later this month, and future Games Nights to be planned… all of which, is to say, feel free to approach POWA with your own ideas for POWA Discord Game Nights if you’ve got some golden idea raring to go.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $5 for members and $6 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.
