Japan’s time honoured anime tradition “But… what if we make it a cute anime girl?” appeared at POWA this last weekend when POWA sought out a new Drama series for our lineup. Of the shows on offer, the POWA community decided it was time to watch an entry in the storied genre of medical dramas, in “Ameku MD: Doctor Detective”!

Look, I watched nine seasons of House MD, and I still don’t know what Lupus even is, or what it isn’t, as it may be. But Ameku MD has a cute anime girl, and that? That I know.

What i dont know is what series POWA is going to pick when we vote again this week – this time to, for the first time since February last year, get a new Mature, Horror & Thriller series, as our ongoing watchalong of Vinland Saga has now ended. Its okay, I’ll have stopped crying about it by Sunday.

And finally, just to give us a bit of a workout, we also have the second and final vote for our ongoing Slice of Life/Romance series “Restaurant to Another World” this week.

Last week, we reached the final episode of Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf (Boo!) but this week, we get to replace it with a brand new series (Yay!), and, also, we voted on Frieren season 2, which it passed (Double Yay!)

And this week, we reach the final episode of the absolute cinema that is Vinland Saga: Season 2 (Double Boo!), but do start looking for a replacement for that series as well (Yay!)

And other than the new Drama, no voting this week either.

Supanova weekend is over, so back to our scheduled series of shows.

Casting our minds back a couple weekends, there were two things of note; Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf reached its final vote before the finale, which it passed, while Cowboy Bebop reached its second vote, also sticking around in our lineup.

Speaking of Sassy and Merchant, it is time to say goodbye (for now?) as it is a 25 episode series – and is now on that finale of its. Which means, naturally, its time to start thinking about its replacement!

And secondly, our continuing Fantasy series Frieren: Beyond Journeys End Season 2 gets across its first voting episode this week as we reach episode 4.
