POWA General Meeting & Online Screening 10th May 2020

We will be starting early this week to have our second quarterly General Meeting for 2020. We will be discussing all the issues POWA has faced since our last GM, as well as the committee’s plans moving forward. The meeting will use Discord’s screen sharing function and there will be space for questions in voice and text chat.

All are welcome to join the meeting by joining our Discord server.

When the meeting is over, we will have a small anime quiz with a prize on the line. Afterwards, we will continue with our regular Online Screenings, where will be finishing off two shows (look forward to suggestion threads for new shows on our Facebook group).

Our Online Alternative (OnA) Screenings use stream syncing service Metastream to allow everyone to watch shows simultaneously.

POWA Online Seasonal Preview 3rd May 2020

We will be continuing the tradition of our Seasonal Preview Screenings in our new OnA format! Join us as we take a look at the Spring anime season with a new batch of first episodes (see below for full schedule)!

Our Online Alternative (OnA) Screenings use stream syncing service Metastream to allow everyone to watch shows simultaneously.
Metastream requires all users to have an account to join the watchalong. Please, view this FAQ for more information.

You will be able to voice/text chat with fellow POWA members on our community Discord server. This is by no means necessary and we will link to the Metastream here when it starts.

POWA Online Screening 26th April 2020

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, POWA is moving its weekly screenings online from the comfort of our homes! These “Online Alternative” (OnA) Screenings will have a different set of shows from our previous screenings. Online stream syncing service Metastream (https://app.getmetastream.com/) will allow everyone to watch shows simultaneously.

Metastream requires all users to have an account to join the watchalong. Please, view this FAQ for more information: https://github.com/samuelmaddock/metastream/wiki/FAQ.
Metastream also provides a timer, allowing you to manually sync your own copy.
