Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection – POWA Movie outing, 17th May 2019

Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo

POWA is going to another anime movie in the cinemas to see the new sequel movie Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection.

We plan to meet up for the 4:00pm subtitled session at Event Cinemas Innaloo. Although this is a niche movie release, POWA cannot guarantee seats, so be sure to arrive with enough time to settle down.

Pokemon: Detective Pikachu – POWA Movie outing, 18th May 2019

Location: Grand Cinemas Joondalup

POWA is off to the movies again, this Saturday, to catch a screening of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu!

We are aiming to meet up for the 4:40PM session at Grand Cinemas Joondalup. Although it has been some time since release, it is better for people to arrive early rather than late, so as to ensure we all have time to get settled. As this isn’t a sponsored event, POWA is unable to provide discounts or tickets, nor guarantee seats.

“Ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his 21-year-old son, Tim, to find out what happened. Aiding in the investigation is Harry’s former Pokémon partner, wise-cracking, adorable super-sleuth Detective Pikachu. Finding that they are uniquely equipped to work together, as Tim is the only human who can talk with Pikachu, they join forces to unravel the tangled mystery.”

Screenings

POWA Screening, 19th May 2019

Location: ECU Joondalup Room 7.101

Thank you, everyone, who came to last week’s marathon Tournament of POWA Screening!

This week is a return to our standard screening format, but with the new additions of the light and cheery “Amagi Brilliant Park”, and the not quite so light and cheery “Parasyte – The Maxim.”

This week also features the first vote for our Chill Out and Action series, K-ON! and Assassination Classroom. As always, an active and current POWA membership is required if you want to cast a vote on our lineup.

We will be using room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup – Doors will open at 2:30, with the screening to start at 3:00. Snacks, Drinks and Membership will be available for purchase during the screening.
