Thank you to all who attended last weeks Early Screening event – we hope fun times were had by all.

At our screening last week we reached the final conclusion of our Mature spots “Coppelion” – so we see the end of the likes of best girl No-Sense, the always entertaining Aoi and the terrifying antagonist of The Wind™… but this opens the spot for a new mature series! We will be taking suggestions in the relevant Facebook thread or Via the POWA Club website, and will vote in the new series during the screening. Remember that only active members of POWA have the right to vote on our lineup – ensure your membership is still current.

Last week also saw the start of our new Drama slot – the Snow White and Fantasy inspired Romance, “Snow White with the Red Hair.” The titular protagonist, Shirayuki, is well on to building herself a new life after having to leave her old behind – where does she go from here?

The screening will take place in room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup. Door will open at 2:30, with the screening to start at 3:00, leaving time for people to buy drinks, snacks and to get settled. For those lacking membership, or finding their membership has expired, it will be available for purchase during the screening.

The last week of this month is the first (true) Come to POWA Early screening of 2019! Attendees are asked to bring board games, card games, Gunpla kits and anything else you could think of in this free-for-all day. Doors will be opening at 12:00, and the early event will end at 2:30 – followed by the start of our regular screening.

Last week saw the starting of our new comedy series – Konosuba 2! At long last we finally get to see the continuation of Kazuma’s wonderful fantasy world life. Last week also saw the finale of our Drama slot’s “Kotoura-San” – and as such, this week we will be voting in a new Drama slot. Ensure that your suggestions are made on the relevant Facebook page thread, or via the POWAClub Website. Remember that only active members are allowed to vote on the nominations – ensure that your membership is up to date.

And finally, we continue with our Sci-Fi, Kantai Collection, which survived its final vote, and reach the final episode of our Mature series, “Coppelion.” Make sure you don’t miss it!

The screening will take place in room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup. Doors will open at 12:00, with the regular POWA Screening to being at 3:00. Snacks, Drinks and Membership will be available for purchase during the screening.
