First off for this post, a few notices: POWA will not be screening for the two weekends after this event! POWA will be taking Fathers’ day Sunday off to give everyone some time with their families, and the weekend after, POWA will be instead attending Evolve! Don’t worry, our regular scheduled screenings will resume on the 15^th of September. Events, reminders and all those sorta things will follow as the date of these various happenings approaches.

That’s in our future, though; for this screening, it’s our regular line-up of shows! This week, our Slice Of Life/Romance series “My Love STORY!!” has its first vote, as it has reached episode 4! Standard reminder that if you want to have a say in whether or not we continue to watch shows in our line-up, you must have an active POWA membership!

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Event Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo

It’s been a bit since POWA last made it out to the cinemas, but this time its for something just a little bit different; it’s a re-release of the classic sequel to a classic cyberpunk film, “Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence”, now lovingly remastered in shiny 4k!

This outing was polled at the POWA community, and the POWA community rather decisively chose the 7:00pm screening, on Saturday, August 24^th, at Event Cinema Innaloo!

This outing is generously supported by SugoiCo, who have provided POWA with two “Admit 2” passes for the film; those who arrive first at the session will be able to attend with only the costs that come with the Candy Bar!

POWA highly recommends you arrive early, before the scheduled 7:00pm starting time. You need to find the group, organise or purchase your tickets, purchase food, drink and whatever you categorise popcorn as, and in all other ways, prepare for the screening. We stress that POWA cannot guarantee seats in the cinema; if you arrive late enough that all the seats in the cinema are purchased, you may well miss out entirely.
