Yet another busy week of voting at POWA this weekend, as we replace not one, but two slots in our lineup!

Last week, however, first: Last week, our Drama “Chihayafuru” passed its second last vote, albeit on episode 17 as it turns out episode 16 was a recap episode, which was skipped after a vote. Having survived to the end, our Fantasy “Why Raeliana Ended up at the Dukes Mansion” has now left our lineup, leaving a spot open for a future Scifi series, while we had double episodes of “My Senpai is Annoying” to fill in an extra spot in our schedule.

Most notably, though, is our new Action & Sport series, “Jujutsu Kaisen”! A well-known and popular series in the wider anime community, its now got its time to shine in POWA’s lineup!

This week, now – voting abounds as we seek a new Scifi series to fill in for our Fantasy “Raeliana” leaving our lineup, and its also time to vote in a new Mature, Horror & Thriller series to replace the missing “xxxHolic” that was taken away from us just too soon.

So, check memberships are up to date and vote for a what is just about a completely new lineup for POWA!

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Hope everyone had a fun time over Supanova weekend, but its time for POWA to reassert its spot on your weekends!

To recap last screening, POWA held this years AMV spectacular – a spectacular it was indeed. If you want to recap, or find one of your favourites, check POWA’s youtube channel – theyre all there in a playlist, if they can be!

Over our break, however, one of our shows has dissipated into the mists of a presumably ended distribution contract. That is to say, our Mature, Horror & Thriller “xxxHolic” has vanished from streaming services, meaning that its time to think of a replacement for the genre slot!

Last screening, our Comedy series “My Senpai is Annoying” had its second and final vote, cementing its place in our lineup until its conclusion!

This screening brings with it a good workout for your shoulders too, with a bunch of voting on the books. Most notably, last screening saw our Action & Sports series “Lycoris Recoil” conclude – so its time to vote for a replacement! If youre reading this before Thursday, 6pm, you can add to the suggested replacements on our website, our Discord or on Facebook.

Our Drama, “Chihayafuru Season 2” also has voting this week, having reached its 16th episode, and our Fantasy series “Why Raeliana ended up at the Duke’s Mansion” reaches its final episode – making it time to start thinking about a Scifi series to replace it!

Also, since “xxxHolic” vanished on us, this week has a different than usual schedule – we are gonna double up on episodes of “My Senpai is Annoying” to fill our time at the library.

This week has the return of POWAs fan-favourite AMV spectacular session!

During this week’s screening, time has been set aside to enjoy a number of AMVs provided by the POWA community – if youre one for sharing your favourite musical montages, but have yet to actually do so, you can get them in by going here and filling out the form!

This AMV session will take place in the middle of our regular screening, in place and during our regularly scheduled break.

Speak of which, that break is longer than normal, since last week out Action & Sports series Lycoris Recoil reached its final episode; while this would normally mean a round of voting for a new series this week, POWA will not be screening the weekend of the 30^th because of Supanova. Rather than get a new show in only to not watch it because of a missed weekend, we thought it better to use the time for more AMVs!

Of course, we are still seeking replacements for our Action & Sports series. Threads are already up on Facebook and Discord, and the suggestions form on powaclub.com is always ready to take your submissions.

And, finally, speaking of voting – this week has the second, and final, vote for our Comedy series My Senpai is Annoying!
