POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last week, POWA took a look at the season’s currently airing anime titles. To see the shows we watched, check out the last event/post.

This week, in our regular line-up of anime, our members will be voting on whether two shows continue on. In its 5th vote is our fantasy series ‘Yona of the Dawn’ and on its 4th vote is our action show, the final season of ‘Assassination Classroom’. ‘Yona’ is in its final vote, so if you want to see it to completion, please come on down and make sure your membership is up to date!

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA comes back with its first Seasonal Preview from the Joondalup Library!

While over the past few years POWA’s Seasonal Previews, where we look at a bunch of shows currently airing, are paired up with our General Meetings – where the Committee gives an update on goings on within the club. However, with the time restrictions of our venue, we are now moving our GMs online! This Saturday at 3pm, join us on our Discord to learn more about our venue and revenue changes as well as other updates on the running of the club.

This means that our Sunday screening will be completely filled to the brim with first episodes from the summer anime season! This is a great opportunity to come down and experience the club without the baggage of us being in the middle of a long run show. Also, you’ll get to decide what’s hot (and not) this season.

Last week, POWA returned from an extended break to get right back in to our line-up of anime! Our members also decided to continue watching our current Romance series ‘Fruits Basket’ with a vote. For those who don’t know, every 4 episodes, we make sure to check with members if they want to continue watching a show.

Speaking of which, our comedy series ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.’ will be up for its third vote this week. Come on down to the screening if you want to vote to continue watching the regular life of the insanely irregular psychic.
