POWA AGM and Election, 6th November 2022

POWA Committee’s 2021/2022 year winds to a close.

As such, POWA will be holding this year’s Annual General Meeting. We will cover POWA’s activities in the 2021/2022 year, and be saying goodbye to its committee as we hold our election.

The AGM will be held at Joondalup’s Upstairs Meeting Rooms, starting at approximately 2pm, after the conclusion of the SGM held to vote on proposed changes to the constitution.

This event is a member-only event, and you must have an active POWA membership to attend. If your POWA Membership has lapsed or wish to purchase it for the first time, please do so at our regular screenings or, if unable to make it before the event, inform us ahead of time and we will have one prepared for you.

This event will be FREE to attend, but no raffle prize will be offered. Food, Drink and the Memberships will be available for Purchase.

If you want to raise a topic of discussion or otherwise have questions, but cannot attend the meeting, please email us at POWAClub@gmail.com or contact us on Facebook – we will discuss your queries and topics during the meeting.

After the end of the year’s recap, we will close the meeting with POWA’s Election. Those who have nominated themselves will present themselves to the gathering for a short question and answer panel, followed by a vote held by those present.

If you want to nominate yourself for a spot on the Committee, please Email us at POWAClub@gmail.com with your name and your expression of interest. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but still want to nominate, you may run in absentia – you will have a few extra steps to fulfil, but still be able to run. Please email us by midnight on November 5th for your nomination to be confirmed.

You will not be able to vote in absentia – only members who attend this meeting may vote during the committee election.
