Our screenings open at 1PM and run to 5PM at Joondalup Library, Meeting Room 1/2 every Sunday (unless otherwise specified) and our schedule includes exciting series from various genres.

1:30PM – Awesome Anime
2:00PM – Awesome Anime
2:30PM – Awesome Anime
3:00PM – Break
3:45PM – Awesome Anime
4:15PM – Awesome Anime
4:45PM – Pack Up

All of the shows we screen are screened in their original – usually Japanese – language with English subtitling.

We are a democratic bunch at POWA. Every fourth episode we vote on keeping a series in our lineup. If it’s voted out, the following week enables us to vote for a show to replace it.

POWA Screening, 8th February, 2026

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

Back to our regular screening schedule after last week’s seasonal preview.

Last time we had a go at our lineup, it was all pretty straight forward for us. We only had one event of note – our Fantasy series, “Frieren: Beyond Journeys End” reached its 16th episode and a vote for its continuation, which it passed.

This time around there’s a bit more of the same, with just one show up for vote.; our Mature, Horror & Thriller series “Vinland Saga: Season 2” reaches its second, episode 8, vote.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA Winter Seasonal Preview, February 1st, 2026

Hey, did you know it’s winter in Japan?

Jealous?

Me too.

Did you also know they release anime seasonally? Well, don’t be jealous, since a bunch of the new releases are coming to our community this screening, with our Winter Seasonal Preview!

In place of our regular schedule, the newest of the medium will be filling the screen. Smol adorable demon princesses (“Smol” doesn’t get a red squiggly line under it. huh), to workplace romcoms where people are just a little bit more transparently in love than usual, and even a few shows where someone ends up in a fantasy world after dying, this season has a whole lot on offer!

And no worries about what gets left out by our limited timeslot – we’ve got a continued watchalong after POWA, on our discord. Perhaps now would be a good opportunity to join it, if youve not yet done so?
