Event Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo
Issa Gundam Film Outing.
And issa gonna be at 6:20pm, Thursday, 14th May, at Event Cinemas Innaloo.
Distributed by epic legends Sugoi Co, this film comes with the bonus offer of a couple of Admit 2 passes for our very lucky members to use to get in amongst the film!
Of course, that is, if people remember to show up early enough to get themselves organised – buy snacks, reserve seats, learn about what the heck is going on in this particular Gundam timeline and whether or not it’s been retconned by the other Gundam timeline yet, that kinda thing – though this series is based on the novel series Hathaway’s Flash, so its somewhere in a timeline. I’ve been reliably informed that the film even has scenes set in Australia – Alice Springs, even!
Doubly necessary perhaps in this case, as this is a sequel to the previous Hathaway film, and a continuation.
Perhaps checking in on the Discord on the day of the film would help people get organised and figure out the plot before heading in?
All our standard citations apply – we cannot guarantee a spot in the cinema, passes or not, so if it is particularly busy and you don’t show up quick enough you may well miss a chair for your bum. Event cinemas do offer tickets purchased ahead of time, digitally, but you will not get the opportunity to use the passes provided by Sugoi Co.
Heres a blurb for the film:
“The year is U.C.0105, twelve years after Char’s Rebellion. “MAFTY” has begun resisting the Federation government’s tyrannical rule by assassinating its high-ranking officials. Its leader is actually Hathaway Noa, the son of Bright Noa, who fought in the One Year War alongside Amuro Ray.
A girl named Gigi Andalusia, who displays uncanny powers, has reminded Hathaway of a past trauma. Though he is bewildered by her words, he prepares to carry out an air raid on the Adelaide conference, determined to fulfill MAFTY’s goals and lay his own past to rest.
Haunted by past trauma, Hathaway is drawn to the mysterious girl Gigi Andalucia, whose strange powers stir memories within him. While swayed by her cryptic words, he continues preparing for MAFTY’s mission — the attack on the Adelaide Conference.
Meanwhile, Kenneth Sleg of the Federation Forces prepares a defense operation for the Adelaide Conference and a plan to eliminate MAFTY, when he is approached by Handley Yoxon of the Criminal Police Organization with a secret proposal.
As Hathaway and Kenneth pursue their respective goals, Gigi also sets off for Hong Kong to fulfill her own role.”
Hey, Adelaide? I’ve heard of that place!
We hope to see you there!
(At the cinema, not Adelaide. Or Alice Springs. Too Hot.)
