CANCELLED: My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising Screening at Event Innaloo March 12th

As an announcement: Our MHA movie isnt is NOT HAPPENING ANYMORE at Event Cinemas Innaloo. Well, tonight at least.

Innaloo cinema has cancelled all movie screenings tonight for an unknown reason. We are sorry for the inconvenience – but keep an eye on discord and facebook as we will likely post a new poll to reschedule this event in the very near future.

POWA’s off to the movies again to see a film in one of the biggest franchises around – My Hero Academia. Thanks to Madman and AnimeLab, we’ll have double passes available to watch the film for free! Please click attending to allow for accurate numbers and secure your place.
The movie starts at 9pm, so be sure to arrive early enough to meet up, grab food and take your seat!

In a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered Quirk, Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that won’t stop him from enrolling in a prestigious hero academy. Now, Izuku is tangled in another dangerous internship as he struggles to keep pace with his upperclassman—Mirio.

POWA Screening, 8th March 2020

Location: ECU Joondalup Room 7.101

Last week saw the vote for Flying Witch pass, and so Flying Witch will be in our line-up until its conclusion. This week brings with it the conclusion of another series – Love Tyrant reaches its last episode, and as our fantasy series ends we will soon put out the call for a new Sci-fi series.

One of our new genre slots, our Cultural/Historical spy thriller “Joker Game” also reaches its first vote – the first vote of its genre. For this momentous occasion, make sure that you have an active POWA membership to maintain the right to cast votes on our line up.
POWA Membership, as well as snacks and drinks, will be available for purchase during our screening.

We will be using room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup – our doors will open at 2:30, with the screening itself to start at 3:00 – arrive early to but drinks, snacks, and if you want it, POWA Membership.

Ride Your Wave Screening At Event Cinemas Innaloo 29th February

Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo

POWA’s out for another movie outing, this time to see the latest film from acclaimed director, Masaaki Yuasa (DEVILMAN CRYBABY, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken).
The movie starts at 6:50pm, so be sure to arrive early enough to meet up, grab food and take your seat!

Upon entering university, Hinako moves to a coastal town. She loves surfing, and when she’s on the waves she’s fearless, but still feels uncertain about her future.
When a fire wreaks havoc in the town, Hinako encounters the young firefighter Minato. As they surf and spend more time together, Hinako feels drawn to someone like Minato who devotes himself to helping other people. Hinako also holds a special place in Minato’s heart.
