Yes, thats right. OzComicCon is on the weekend on April 5th and 6th, meaning that POWA is taking the weekend off. If you happen to be heading to OcComicCon, why not give a shout on our socials and see if anyone wants to meet up or compare merchandise?
POWA will be back on the 12th of April for our GM (Details to arrive later) and the 13th of April for our Seasonal Preview. See you then!

POWA had a full lineup of shows for what feels like the first time this year, as we finally have a week where we arent either on the last episode of a show or voting in something new!
Yep, last screening POWA voted in a new Comedy series – the single Mangaka Father raising a Daughter series “Kakushigoto!”
And, to make that opening paragraph true, when we came up on our Action & Sports series “Spy x Family”’s first, episode 4, vote, it passed, sticking in our lineup!
Though empty spots in our lineup will return before long in sure – perhaps even this week? When our Cultural/Historical series “The Apothecary Diaries” reaches its final, Episode 20, vote, POWA members will have a say on whether or not that stays till its conclusion… And our Scifi series, ID: Invaded also reaches its first, episode 4, vote, leaving plenty of opportunities for POWA peoples to have a say whats going on at POWA.
Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room of the Joondalup Library. Our meeting will start at the same time as the library opens – 1:00PM – and we will start watching anime at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Nearly a year to the day since it arrived in our lineup, our Slice of Life/Romance series “My Love Story!!” reached its final episode this past screening. While we are all devastated at the loss of Takeo and Yamato, for sure, it does mean that it’s time for a new show this week! Comedy time! While those suggestions are tallied for a new vote, we also have some regular voting to think about.
Firstly, last screening, our Mature, Horror & Thriller series “Vinland Saga” passed its first vote, so that’s staying in for at least the next few episodes. Will our Action & Sports series “Spy x Family” do the same when it reaches its first 4-episode vote this week? Be a POWA member, come to the screening, and have a say!
Now for a general notice; our website has our calendar now – it’s available under the “Events” dropdown in the header. If you want to have a little longview of what’s coming, that’s one of the best ways to do so!
