POWA Screening, 15th December, 2024

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

This is it – the final screening for 2024!

Before we all go on break to spend time with our various loved ones instead of our loved anime, we have one last screening for everyone in the 2024 year. 

Our final screening wont be too unusual; though we will have something in place of our regular raffle to have just a little bit of a christmas mood for us all. 

But we will, of course, be watching our lineup of anime – which will also feature the last vote for 2024, with our Slice of Life/Romance series “My Love Story” reaching episode 16 and its vote! Check your memberships and such, of course, if you want to have a say in whether or not next year we open with a brand new series or whether we continue with the nearly too-sweet love story.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA wishes all a very merry Christmas, a happy holiday and a happy new year to top it all off – doubly so, since POWA has already scheduled our return, set for January 19th, 2025! POWA Screening, 8th December, 2024

Penultimate screening time, everyone! 

We were spared the confusion and inevitable rush job of having to vote in a new series immediately before the end of the year last screening, as when we voted on our Cultural/Historical series “The Apothecary Diaries” and our Fantasy series “Wistoria: Wand and Sword”, both series passed their vote. And there’s not any voting this week, either, so even though the final screening will have a vote, this year’s lineup is set in stone.

Again, though, POWA has its final screening for the year on the 15th of December – that’s the screening after this one – and we all go home for a short Christmas break.

But it is a short one – because we will be back in 2025, on the 19th of January, for a whole new year of POWA!

POWA Screening, 1st December, 2024

Final stretch for 2024; but let’s keep the anime going until the final screening!

Last week saw a good bit of voting, where we voted on our Action & Sports Series “Jujutsu Kaisen” and our Mature, Horror & Thriller series “86 Part 2”. Well, the short of it is that we are gonna be watching them in 2025; both series passed their vote!

This week’s got more of the same – our Cultural/Historical series “The Apothecary Diaries” is now at episode 8, so it gets its second vote, while our Fantasy series “Wistoria: Wand and Sword” reaches episode 4, getting its first. Will they survive their vote? Will one of them not survive? Will the POWA community make life painful and vote both shows out meaning we have to vote in two new shows on the second last screening of 2024? 

Because POWA will have its final screening for 2024 on the 15th of December – that’s right, only a few screenings left. Not to worry, though, POWA will be back in 2025 – our return date is booked and locked in, set for 19th January, 2025. Write it down!
