POWA Screening, 7th April, 2024

Everyone have a good Easter weekend? Not enough Anime, you say? Well, this weekend POWA’s back on so maybe this one will make up for it!

After a week off, we are back at the Joondalup Library with our continuing lineup of series, including our new Comedy – voted upon by the POWA Community last screening – My Senpai is Annoying!

Last week also saw voting on three of our continuing series – our Fantasy in Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion had its first vote, our Drama in Chihayafuru Season 2 had its second and final vote, and our Mature, Horror & Thriller in xxxHolic had its second (but not final) vote… and, long story short, they all passed!

This week brings us only one vote; our Action series Lycoris Recoil has its second and final vote this week.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $5 for members and $6 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA Screening, March 24th, 2024

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

Our Slice of Life/Romance series Super Cub left our lineup last week when we reached its final episode; meaning that this week brings us the always-exciting vote for a new Comedy series! So too, though, is it time to vote on some of our ongoing series; our Drama, Chihayafuru Season 2 and our Mature, Horror & Thriller, xxxHolic both reach their second votes, while our Fantasy series Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke’s Mansion reaches its first vote.

Outside of our normal screening, though, we do have an outing on this week! After POWA, a gathering at iPlay Whitfords City is organised; Bowling! If you are interested in joining us for some Ten Pin Bowling, then head to our website, Facebook or Discord for the full details, as the event for that outing is already up!

Finally, it is worth noting that this is the last screening of POWA this month. POWA was unable to book the room over the Easter weekend, so while we would usually screen on the Sunday after this event, it will instead be a week off.
