POWA Screening, 22nd October 2023

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

Last week we voted to keep our Action show, Astra Lost in Space. We also voted in a new Mature show, Basilisk.

This week our Comedy show, Uramichi-Oniisan is on its final episode. We are now looking for a Slice of Life/Romance show to replace it, in the coming weeks.

We have the AGM and committee election next week. Which will take up most the screening time. It won’t be a regular screening and members only. The week after will be our anticipated, Fall 2023 seasonal preview.

You may still apply for committee by contacting us via email at powaclub@gmail.com. Please email us by midnight October 28, to confirm your nomination.

You may also nominate on the day, as a last call. If you’re unable to attend, you may vote and apply in absentia via email.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA Screening, 15th October 2023

Last week we finished Hellsing and voted to keep both Trigun and Irina in our line up. This week we will be voting in a new mature show and voting on Astra.

We will be looking for a new “Mature/Horror/Thriller” show replacement for Hellsing. Keep a lookout for threads on Discord and Facebook, you may also suggest on our website. Get your nominations in before Thursday, 12th October at 6pm.

We have the AGM upcoming on October 29th, where we will discuss POWA’s activities in 2022/2023. As we say goodbye to the current committee, and welcome the newly elected one.

If you want to nominate yourself for a spot on the Committee, please email POWAClub@gmail.com with your name and your expression of interest. Please email us by midnight on October 28th for your nomination to be confirmed.
