POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last week, we finished up the romantic entanglements of ‘My Next Life as a Villainess’ so we are on the lookout for a new Comedy series to replace it! There is a suggestion thread on our Facebook group, an open form on our website and now for the first time, a forum channel on our Discord where members can suggest shows that the Committee will nominate for the vote! In addition, members will be able to vote if we continue with our Mature show ‘Claymore’.

Next month, the club’s Committee Year is also coming to an end, and thus we’ll be looking for new committee nominations! If you want to lead the club into the New Year, send an expression of interest email to powaclub@gmail.com to get more details. The election for our new Committee will take place on Sunday, November 6th at our AGM held in the Library.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Psyche! Because of the Committee’s decision to screen the OVA for ‘My Next Life as a Villainess X’, we get to spend one more week with Bakarina and her amazing harem! In addition, 3 shows are up for voting this week. ‘Fruits Basket’, ‘Log Horizon’ and ‘Hinomaru Sumo’ are all deep into their runs. Only POWA members can decide if they should stay or go.

While there is no voting or new shows this week, we do have to unfortunately say goodbye to our Comedy series, the second season of ‘My Next Life as a Villainess’. We hope that Katarina’s harem can continue to grow in a third season down the line. We’ll be looking for a new Comedy to replace it next week!

POWA is also working on a collaborative project! The POWA “Fanzine” will compile articles, essays, reviews, creative writing, art and everything in between into a published magazine. Interested in joining in? Learn more here.
