Location: ECU Joondalup Room 7.101

It’s time for POWA’s Annual General Meeting for 2018.

Taking place in our usual room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup, we will be going through POWA’s accomplishments for the year, and voting in the new committee for year 2018/2019.
As this is not a normal screening all entry is FREE, however, there will be no raffle prize. Our usual collection of snack foods and drink will be available for purchase.

Memberships MUST be purchased prior to the beginning of the meeting. The meeting begins at 3:00pm, so to avoid missing out on any content raised we recommend you arrive when the doors open at 2:30pm. The AGM will finish by 7:00pm.

Only active Members of POWA will be able to attend and we ask that you bring your membership card as proof of membership. If you do not have a membership card or the expiry date is incorrect please contact Alex Johns (current Secretary) to arrange a new card ahead of the AGM. Membership will also be available for purchase before the meeting begins (between 2:30PM and 3:00PM).

For those of you who do not have an active membership, we will be offering memberships at the discounted AGM rate of $5 instead of $10. Purchasing a membership gives you discounts with some of our sponsors, voting rights, discounts to some events, access to our exclusive library and more! Be sure to visit our membership page for more info.

The planned agenda for the AGM is available. The order is as follows –

  1. What has happened since the last GM
  2. President’s Report
  3. Treasurer’s Report
  4. Any other Reports
  5. Question Time/Comments/Feedback
  6. Committee Nominations and voting
  7. Dinner break
  8. Anime Screening depending on the time remaining after the meeting
  9. After Screening Meeting – Current and New Committee

We welcome everyone to ask questions, raise potential concerns, give us feedback about what you like, or things you would like to see the club head towards or improve.
If you believe you have something to raise as an item that needs to be bought up as part of the agenda, please let us know before Thursday 11th October.

This is an open forum, so even if you have joined us recently or have been a long-standing member, it is the perfect opportunity to let your voice be heard. Proxy voting will not be allowed, you have to be in attendance to cast your vote, however, you do not have to attend to have a point raised. If you are unable to attend the Screening on Sunday 14th October, please let the committee know in advance of anything you wish to raise at the AGM.
