This week we open our doors earlier than usual before we start our regular screening – because we will be watching the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Chosen by the anime watching community as a whole, the awards will range from “Best Protagonist” to “Best Animation”, all the way to the coveted “Anime of the Year” and the surely contentious “Best Girl.”

After the Awards has finished, our regular screening will begin as normal.

Last week saw the finale of Gabriel Dropout – so that means that this week will be the first episode of a new Comedy slot. Ensure that your suggestions for the comedy slot are in place, either on the Facebook message or via the POWAClub website. Remember that only active members have the right to vote on what nominee gets chosen – so ensure that your membership is up to date.

This week also brings us the final vote for our Sci-Fi Kantai Collection. Again, only members have the right to vote – so don’t miss out because of a lapsed membership.

Finally, this week brings us the final episode of our Drama’s “Kotoura-San”. The Grand Finale to little Kotoura’s story of being accepted and finding love – be sure that you don’t miss it.

Because of our early pre-screening event, doors will open at 12:00, with the screening to start at 12:30. After the Anime Awards, our regular screening will commence at 3:00. Our standard room at ECU Joondalup, room 7.101, will be used for both the Anime Awards screening and our regular Screening. Food and drink, as well as membership, will be available for purchase during the screening.
