This year of POWA pulls into the final stretch with our third Quarterly Meeting of the 2019 year. POWA is going to go over whats happened over the last few months in particular, and give some inner looks into what we are planning for the last few months of the POWA calendar. We start the meeting early, with the doors to our usual room at ECU Joondalup, room 7.101, opening at Midday. The meeting will run until there is nothing left to say, a length of approximately an hour.

As soon as the meeting ends, though, POWA launches into our summer seasonal preview! This season is jam-packed with interesting shows, and although this seasonal preview is a little later than usual, this screening looks like its going to be a good one. A variety of hand-picked shows, chosen by the POWA committee, will be screened from our sponsors, Animelab and Crunchyroll.

So, if you don’t want to miss any shows, make sure that you arrive early enough, catch the Quaterly Meeting, and in the event we end early, the few extra shows before our regular screening time starts!

As stated, we will be using room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup. Doors will open at midday, followed shortly by the start of the Quaterly Meeting. Drinks, Snacks and POWA Membership will be available for purchase during the screening, as is usual.

Come to POWA and watch anime on our bog standard 6*3 screen that one would be able to find basically anywhere!

Although normally the last screening of a month is a Come to POWA Early day, this month also holds the POWA Games day, so this weeks screening will be scheduled for our normal time and place.
And this is, in fact, our last screening of the month – POWA’s screening that would take place on the 28th can’t occur due to ECUs open day, so the last screening for the month this is!

This week, we reach the third vote for our Action Series, episode 12, for “Assassination Classroom” – as POWA decides whether or not to keep it in our line-up, we arrive at the final episode for the first season of K-On! After the event Chill Out suggestions will open, so keep an eye out for that.

An active POWA membership is required if you want to cast a vote on our lineup – make sure your POWA Membership is up to date, and if it has expired or you want to purchase it for the first time, please do so at the screening.

This week’s screening is taking place in our normal ECU Joondalup room of 7.101 – Doors will open at 2:30, with the screenings itself to start at 3:00. We have Snacks!

After a variety of technical difficulties, last week saw the introduction on our new Sci-Fi series – the sneaky steampunk spy shenanigans of “Princess Principal”. And as Princess Principal starts, continuing to conclusion is “Amagi Brilliant Park”, as it passed its second and final vote. Continuing also is our Mature series “Parasyte – The Maxim”. The random button on crunchyroll was either extremely cruel or extremely kind this past screening, depending on how you view the English dub of Yu-Gi-Ohs first series. Its certainly entertaining?

This week to come has no voting for us – although, our Discord Anime Book Club’s watch of netflix’s readaptation of Neon Genesis Evangelion has entered its third week, opening discussion for episodes 7, 8 and 9 of the classic series.
