POWA Screening, 5th September 2021

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last week, POWA voted to keep watching our Comedy series, ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.’. Additionally, we reached an intense, yet satisfying end to ‘Psycho-Pass’, which means we’ll be looking for a show to replace it!

This week, the aforementioned Mature/Horror/Thriller show will be chosen by members during our break. Look out for a post on our Facebook Group to start suggesting shows that the Committee can put up for nomination (or just suggest it on our website now). Also, ‘Assassination Classroom’ will have a vote to decide if we continue watching until the end.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Fate/Grand Order Paladin Agateram POWA Movie Outing

Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo
Date: August 27th
Time: 4:15PM

POWA is going to the cinemas to see the next piece of the Fate Grand Order anime puzzle, the second in a pair of movies tackling the Camelot Singularity from the hit mobile game! As you may remember, we saw the first movie in April.
The movie starts at 4:15pm, but as we cannot book ahead, we cannot guarantee seats in the cinema. Ensure that you arrive early enough to purchase your tickets at the counter so you don’t end up disappointed.

Movie Synopsis:
“Jerusalem, 1273 A.D. Here, both the wandering knight, Bedivere, and Chaldea’s own expedition find the Sixth Singularity. The residents of this desolate land have been driven from their homes as three opposing powers battle for control of the land.
Bedivere and company seek the help of the Mountain People to rise up against the Lion King and the Knights of the Round Table and combat their slaughter of innocents. After a deadly struggle and the loss of a dear friend, the group approaches Ozymandias, the Sun King, whose incredible power could help them turn the tables. In the halls of this great pharaoh, they desperately seek an alliance. Ozymandias, however, reveals the Lion King’s plans and refuses to assist in foiling them, instead wishing to protect his own people.”

POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last week, POWA decided to return to the insane and violent adventures of ‘Golden Kamuy’ by voting the second season into our line-up under the Cultural & Historical slot! In addition, members also decided to keep watching the 2019 version of ‘Fruits Basket’.

This week, we’ll be doing another vote for our Comedy show, ‘The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.’, which is entering its back third. Also of note, we’ll be entering the endgame of our Mature/Horror/Thriller show, ‘Psycho-Pass’, so we’ll be looking for replacement suggestions on our Facebook Group and Website.
