After an unfortunate and unplanned break, POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Yes, it has been a bit of a tumultuous time for POWA. Various setbacks have prevented us from gathering a Committee roster big enough to host a screening. But make no mistake, we’re back – hoping to pick things right up from where we left them!

Up for vote this screening are ‘Golden Kamuy’ and ‘Chihayafuru’. Be at the screening to keep ‘em in or kick ‘em out. With our Action series, ‘86’ finishing up last week we’ll also be voting in a Sports/Games show to replace it. Suggest shows on our Facebook Group or website and they may be nominated by the Committee.

POWA is also on the lookout for a new mascot! Our survey to poll the POWA community on what exactly they’re looking for will be closing August 6th. To learn more and to tell us what would make your PERFECT mascot, view the survey here.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

3:00PM – Voting for new series, break & raffle draw
3:15PM – NEW Sports/Games
3:45PM – Golden Kamuy 3rd Season – Episode 8 (Mature/Horror/Thriller, Voting)
4:15PM – From the New World – Episode 9 (Sci-Fi)
