POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last regular screening, we voted in a brand new series into our Sports & Games slot. It’s time for a traditional Japanese sport to enter the ring with ‘Hinomaru Sumo’. ‘Chihayafuru’ and the third season of ‘Golden Kamuy’ also survived votes from our membership, who collectively declared “let’s keep watching these shows”.

POWA is also on the lookout for a new mascot! Our survey to poll the POWA community on what exactly they’re looking for will be closing on August 6th – which is also the date of our online quarterly General Meeting! Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.
