Screenings

POWA Screening, 5th March 2023

POWA’s exciting weekly screenings continue!

Last week, POWA members voted to keep watching our Fantasy series Log Horizon, which will remain in our Database.

This week is yet another heavy round of voting. Four shows are up, they are Comic Girls, Hinomaru Sumo, Kanon and Claymore. Will all shows continue or will any drop!? you decide. Only active members can vote, so be sure your membership is up to date!

This week we also sadly see the conclusion of Fruits Basket 2nd Season. As a replacement for Fruits Basket 2nd Season, we are looking for suggestions for said SoL/Romance show. Our Facebook page, website and Discord threads are all places where you can suggest! Fruits Basket will be receiving a sixth slot nomination as we’ve completed it and a sequel is available.

Lastly POWA will be attending the new Demon Slayer movie at Innaloo on Fri March 3rd at 6:30pm. Link here: Which will be a sneak peak into Season 3 coming in April

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village – Outing

Location: Event Cinemas Innaloo
Date: Friday March 3
Time: 6:30PM – 8:30PM

POWA is off to the movies once again to experience the Demon Slayer phenomenon on the big screen. This movie is a feature-length cut of Episodes 10 and 11 of the Entertainment District Arc and the extended Episode 1 of the upcoming Swordsmith Village Arc.

POWA has voted to go see it on Friday, March 3rd 6:30PM at Event Cinemas Innaloo, in the original Japanese. The movie starts at 6:30PM, but as we cannot book ahead, we cannot guarantee seats in the cinema. Ensure that you arrive early enough to purchase your tickets at the counter so you don’t end up disappointed.

The movie is described as such:
“Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village-” will show Entertainment District Arc Episodes 10 and 11 featuring the fierce battle between Tanjiro, Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, and their comrades against Upper Six, Daki and Gyutaro in theaters for the first time. Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 1, featuring the encounter of Mist Hashira, Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira, Mitsuri Kanroji at their newly assigned dispatch location and Upper Rank Demons assembled at the Infinity Castle, will also be shown for the first time.

POWA’s exciting weekly screenings continue!

POWA will be repeating the schedule listed for 19th February 2023 here: Due to a lower than expected turnout during our opening time. The decision was made so that our regular attendees can experience anime and voting together as a community.

Just the single show up for voting this week, Log Horizon. Next week is an eventful one, it sees us voting on FOUR shows in our exciting line up. We are also reaching the dramatic conclusion of Fruits Basket Season 2!

Enjoying Fruits Basket? We will be voting on its sequel or replacement the following week. Completed shows with a sequel season will receive an instant sixth slot nomination going forward.
