POWA’s exciting weekly screenings continue!

Only Log Horizon is up for vote this week. Next week there will be voting on three shows. Those shows are Fruits Basket, Kanon and Claymore. As well as the final episodes of Comic Girls and Hinomaru Sumo.

After the conclusion of Comic Girls, the idea was floated that POWAs lineup would drop down to five shows instead of the regular six. To give us more break time and possibly do other activities. The Comedy slot would alternate with the SoL/Romance slot which Fruits Basket occupies. This will be a month long trial to gauge community feedback.

Early April, POWA will be attending the new The Super Mario Bros Movie, our first non-anime outing in some time. There will be no screening on April 9th due to the Easter holiday. Makoto Shinkai’s latest film Suzume is also releasing in mid-April, which many POWA members are excited for. Keep on the lookout for those events coming up.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

3:45PM – Kanon – Episode 11 (Drama)
4:15PM – Claymore – Episode 19 (Mature)
