Location for Bowling: Zone Bowling Joondalup

In the greatest oxymoron of at least this week’s post, this is not only one of our laziest days on our calendar, it’s also a day where we actually leave the library and go do some actual sport.

Yes, I think that’s weird, too. 

Sport.

Well, with the Pixel Expo on this weekend, it stands to reason that some – or a bunch – of our membership might want to check it out, and we don’t want people to feel too put out in missing POWA this sunday. So, instead of our normal lineup, we are instead going to be using the Library room for the best kind of thing: lazy things.

There’s no real plan, let alone a schedule, its really just an excuse to use the space for whatever we want – board games, video games, chatting, lunch, what-have-you. The laptop will be present, we might chuck on some random stuff for the screen, or might get stuck into a really long board game we don’t finish, it really depends on the mood.

Effectively, we are giving people an opportunity to not miss out on our lineup of anime, but also giving people the opportunity to come along for a Sunday hangout.

It is noted that there wont be a raffle prize or food shop like our normal screenings – lazy be as lazy does, and we be lazy. 

Now if youre shaking your head picturing us lazy people, how about after the normal scheduled event, we go play a sport? And a real sport, at that! Not a fake sport, like American Football, either. 

Zone Bowling is just around the corner from POWA’s meeting room at the Library, and from 6:00pm we are gonna meet there and have a couple rounds of throwing heavy things, aimed badly, at things really far away in a building where the music is entirely too loud. We have purposely scheduled bowling to take place an hour after POWA ends – so there’s enough time to grab some food, have a drink, feed the cat – that kinda thing – before rocking up. It is pay-your-own-way, and will cost the individual about $28 for two games if you’re keen, though there’s no requirement to pay for both (or at all, if you just wanna hang out.)
