POWA’s AGM and Election are upcoming.

On 8th November, 2026 POWA Will host our Annual General Meeting. This meeting is going to cover the entire year of POWA’s activities since the last AGM – that is to say, the 2025-2026 POWA committee year.

At the conclusion of the meeting, we will also be hosting the election for our commttee of the 2026-2027 year.

Please do note that the Agenda is subject to change over the coming days, but should mostly serve as an accurate order of business for the meeting.

We want people to note the following information:

  • The AGM will be hosted and held in place of our regular Sunday screening at the Joondalup Library. As such, we will not be hosting a screening on the 8th.
  • The meeting is limited to POWA Members only. That said, due to circumstances with the POWA Membership – a point of discussion in the meeting itself – if you were an Active POWA member before or during April this year, your membership is considered valid for the purposes of this meeting.
  • If you are not a POWA member, or a valid exception under the above point, you can apply to attend if you reach out tot he POWA Committee in writing first. If we agree, you will not be permitted to speak or act at the meeting, but observe.
  • The Meeting will be recorded in both written and audio formats. Your attendance will also be recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded or noted as attending, you are advised to not attend the meeting or election.
  • If you wish to nominate yourself for a position on the POWA Committee, you are encouraged to write to the POWA Committee with a clear statement of intent. We are best reached at our official email, POWAClub@gmail.com.
  • If you have feedback you want addressed at the AGM, you are encouraged to reach out to us via email, discord or our contact us page on our website. Your feedback can be anonymous, via the contact us form, and we will address the feedback during the meeting.
  • If you want to attend the AGM electronically, there is a possibility you may do so. Please reach out to POWA directly ahead of the AGM if you want to take this route.

The AGM is scheduled to start at 1:30pm on Sunday, the 8th. AGMs are hard to estimate how long they run for, but usually last until about 3:30pm, with the election to take until about 4:00pm. This is only an estimate, and not a guarantee – late arrivals may miss out on points of discussion.
