This week is the second General Meeting and second Seasonal Preview of 2019!

Doors open early this week as the POWA Committee outlines what has been in the works the last few months, and a look into some of what is to come in the following quarter. All members are invited to join us, to ask questions and better understand how POWA runs.

After the meeting ends, POWA begins its Spring Seasonal Preview! So ensure that you are there for the meeting, as the earlier the meeting ends, the sooner the Preview starts. With a large selection of anime, across many genres, spring provides a great selection of anime for the Committee members to bring to POWA.

Doors will open at 12:00, with the meeting itself to begin at 1:00. It is important to note that due to its open format, it is hard to predict just how long the meeting will take.

We will be using room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup. Entry to the meeting and screening will be free, although no raffle prize will be on offer. Food, Drink and Membership will be available for purchase during the screening.

This month’s come to POWA Early has been brought forward! In celebration of the Easter weekend, a Sausage Sizzle will be this week’s theme. With a Gold Coin donation, POWA attendees are welcome to come early and enjoy a snag with the group.

In addition, attendees are welcome to bring their favourite board games, card games or model build kits to share – and as usual, some Anime will be screening on the projector for those who would rather watch than play.

After the early event, our regular screening will commence. Last week saw the introduction of K-ON! and Assassination Classroom as our Chill Out and Action slots, and as we continue those series Konosuba! 2 reaches its tenth and final episode and, finally, we have our second vote on our Mature slot’s March Comes in Like a Lion.

Active POWA Membership is required if you want to cast a vote on our lineup – ensure that your membership is still valid, and if you need to renew it, or purchase it for the first time, it will be available for purchase during the screening itself.

We will be using room 7.101 at ECU Joondalup. Doors will open at 12:00, with our regular screening to start at 3:00. Drinks, Snacks and POWA Membership will be available for purchase during the screening, in addition to the gold-coin donation Sausage Sizzle.
