Penguin Highway – Online Movie Screening, 23rd May 2021

POWA will be returning to physical screenings NEXT WEEK on the 30th of May (the event is already up here). Look forward to an FAQ about our new location coming soon.

This week, however, we’ll be doing one last Discord screening of the movie ‘Penguin Highway’.

Movie Synopsis:
“Budding genius Aoyama is only in the 4th grade, but already lives his life like a scientist. When penguins start appearing in his sleepy suburb hundreds of miles from the sea, Aoyama vows to solve the mystery. When he discovers that the arrival of the penguins is related to a mysterious young woman from his dentist’s office, they team up for an unforgettable summer adventure!”

You’ll need to join our Discord to watch along with us.

The movie will start at 4PM.

The Facebook event can be found here.

We hope to see you there!

POWA Drawing Day, 15th May 2021

While POWA is coming back in a physical space on the 30th of May (see here for more details) we’ll be sticking to Discord events for two more weeks. Be sure to join the server.

This week we’ll be doing a pair of drawing events for people to let out their artistic side! We will be using Aggie.io to sketch together and create a collaborative collage. All levels of talent are welcome – we’re just hoping to have some fun.
Afterwards, we’ll be playing some of the drawing party game Drawful 2, which challenges players to draw ridiculous prompts. Drawful 2 doesn’t require anyone but the host to own the game, with everyone else playing via browser or mobile phones.

This Week’s Schedule:
4:00PM – Collaborative Drawing on Aggie.io
6:00PM – Break
6:30PM – Drawful 2 Game Night

The Facebook event can be found here.

We hope to see you there!
