POWA Anime Club Joondalup WA

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

Did you know that POWA used to run screenings on weekends back to back without breaks? Yeah, in the past, we didn’t cancel screenings! Well, we are nostalgic this week, as the weekends with POWA continue!

Last week at POWA was an easy one for us as we had no voting and also all our shows were still on a streaming service – so this week we continue that lineup with the caveat that there IS voting this time! Two shows, on the opposite ends of the feelgood spectrum are up – first, our newest show, the Comedy “Kakushigoto” reaches its first, episode 4 vote, and then at the end of the night, our Mature, Horror & Thriller series reaches its second, episode 8 one. 

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests – However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting rooms of the City of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM – and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

After what seemed like a very long time, POWA returns to our regular screening location and our regular screening schedule!

POWA plans to pick up right where we left off on our last regular screening. As it has been a while, perhaps its a good idea to familiarise yourself with what episodes we are up to? Check the bottom of the event for our schedule.

To recap last screening, though; Last time POWA voted for the last time on our Cultural & Historical series “The Apothecary Diaries” and for the first time on our Scifi series “ID:Invaded”. For the relief of those who like these shows, both series passed their vote and remain in our lineup – until its end, in the case of “The Apothecary Diaries.” 

And, as if to only ease us into screening again, none of our shows in our lineup are up for vote this week!
