POWA’s exciting weekly screenings continue!

Last week we voted on a new Action show. The winner was Astra Lost in Space much to the surprise of many. Possibly helped by Irina and her cosmonaut activities. There seems to be an abundance of Space and Vampire action in our current line up!

Hellsing will be up for its final vote this week. Will Alucard get to finish his duel? Irina’s training will be put to the test next screening, with a vote.

Our next movie outing is this week for ‘The First Slam Dunk‘. POWA has voted to go see it on Friday, 25 August 6:30PM at Event Cinemas Innaloo. If you’re interested, the event can be found on Facebook and on our website.

POWA will be attending Evolve Pop Culture Expo 2023 at the Cannington Showgrounds on September 2 and 3. So there will be NO screening on September 3. If you’re attending the Expo, come say Hi! As we will be running a number of games and activities for all to enjoy!

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

POWA’s exciting weekly screenings continue!

Last week we finished the chaotic Action series Akudama Drive.
We will be replacing it with a new Action show this screening, with a vote! Action suggestions are still open but are closing very soon!

Uramichi Oniisan survived his first vote. It seems his teaching of life lessons are not over, as well as the laughs.

Last week we voted in a new Cultural/Historical show Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut. Who surprisingly won the vote in a tie-breaker against some tough competition. She’s set to join Alucard and Hellsing for our aptly named “Vampire hour”.

Hellsing will be up for its final vote next week, will he remain the top Vampire? Our next movie outing is approaching soon! Voting is still open for The First Slam Dunk. The date and time will be decided before our screening.
