Let’s try this again, shall we? After COVID related delays, it’s time to get back to watching anime.

As a reminder: We’ll be sure to keep up with the ongoing COVID situation in WA. As our borders open up and we reach our peak infection levels, rules may affect upcoming POWA screenings and events. Keep an eye on our social media – along with official communications from the WA government, and most importantly STAY SAFE!

Last screening, we said goodbye to two series. On a super positive note, ‘WorldEnd’ gave us a grand finale. On a less positive note, we decided to no longer continue the gambling exploits of ‘Kaiji’. This means we’ll be voting in TWO new shows this week – an Action and a Cultural/Historical piece.

POWA is also working on a collaborative project! The POWA “Fanzine” will compile articles, essays, reviews, creative writing, art and everything in between into a published magazine. Interested in joining in? Learn more here.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.
