Hopefully everyone is still feeling their nerd energy after the previous night’s gaming marathon for our weekly POWA screening – this time, with two new shows!
Even better, this time we should be watching both!
The good news first; last week, it was time to replace some finished series – after a particularly close vote on all accounts, POWA picked ourselves up a pair of polar opposites; our new Comedy series “The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation out of Debt Kingdom: How About Treason?”, featuring an excellent prince being too excellent for his own desires, and earning himself a place in the world encyclopedia under the heading “Mission Failed: Successfully!” and the significantly less fantasy kingdom building and more in the land of cyberpunk dystopia shenaniganry in the classic Scifi series “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”. Timeless classic? Grim vision of the future? Grim picture of the present? All of the above? Can’t say for sure, i’ve not seen it myself!
And nor has POWA – as a club at least. Due to poor time management skills, POWA actually ran beyond its schedule last weekend, and out of a desire to not get locked in the Library over a weekend, we had to skip the first episode that week. So, yes, this week we continue “Genius Prince’s Treason” – the name we are adopting coz its name is too long – and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, but with the first of our sci fi this time around.
And, finally, we also vote on an ongoing series this week, with Ameku MD: Doctor Detective reaching its 8th episode and second vote.
