POWA Couldnt end the committee year without one last surprise event, it seems, as we are off to the movies to see the anticipated sequel to 2023’s GODZILLA Minus One, “Minus Zero”!
This film is being distributed by our awesome friends SugoiCo, who have provided POWA with a number of handy dandy blurbs and trailers for our use, which does make it easier on us to get across this film.
War reduced Japan to zero, and Godzilla plunged it into minus.
Two years have passed since then, and the country has faced agonising struggles to achieve recovery and finally reclaim its daily life. Just as humanity managed to cling to a hard-won peace, a new threat strikes, crushing hope in an instant. There is no third time. Everything ends here.
Shot entirely in Japan as the first-ever Japanese production to be Filmed For IMAX, GODZILLA MINUS ZERO was shot with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX, and optimised in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens.
The globally beloved monster returns to movie cinema screens reaching greater and more terrifying heights, making GODZILLA MINUS ZERO a true cinematic event not to be missed.
Though the film is out on November 5th in Australia, POWA ran a poll on when we oughta go see it, and have decided to wait for the weekend.
POWA is going to have our outing to the film at 6:00pm, Saturday, at HOYTS Warwick cinema.
As always, if you are late or the film sells out early, you might not get a ticket and a chair in the theatre. POWA cannot and does not guarantee a seat in cinema – If you are worried, feel free to purchase your ticket in advance!
Similarly, if you’re late, you might have trouble finding the group and getting snacks and drinks, so we suggest everyone rock up early enough to beat the odds and meet up with the group. We often organise the outings and meetups by either standing around in the lobby until we recognise each other, or on our Discord.
We hope to see you there!
