POWA Anime Club Joondalup WA

Location: Joondalup Library, Upstairs Meeting Room

POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

After a week free of voting, POWA is ready to hold a series to the grinder yet again. This time, members will vote to decide whether we continue the Comedy show ‘My Next Life as a Villainess’. We’ve been through one season of Bakarina’s harem adventures, are we up for more?

POWA is also working on a collaborative project! The POWA “Fanzine” will compile articles, essays, reviews, creative writing, art and everything in between into a published magazine. Interested in joining in? Learn more here.

Entry for our weekly screenings is $4 for members and $5 for guests. However, your first time is free! Every entry prior to our break receives a raffle ticket for a weekly prize. We will be in the upstairs meeting room, of Joondalup Library. Our doors will open at the same time as the library – 1:00PM and we will start screening at 1:30PM, leaving you time to find the room and settle down with some drinks and snacks.

This Week’s Schedule:
1:00PM – Library Doors Open
1:30PM – My Next Life as a Villainess X – Episode 4 (Comedy, Voting)
2:00PM – Chihayafuru – Episode 14 (Cultural/Historical)
2:30PM – Fruits Basket 2nd Season – Episode 7 (Slice of Life/Romance/Arthouse)
3:00PM – Break & raffle draw
3:15PM – Hinomaru Sumo – Episode 3 (Sports/Games)
3:45PM – Golden Kamuy 3rd Season – Episode 10 (Mature/Horror/Thriller)
4:15PM – From the New World – Episode 11 (Sci-Fi)

We hope to see you there!

POWA’s regular weekly screenings continue!

Last regular screening, we voted in a brand new series into our Sports & Games slot. It’s time for a traditional Japanese sport to enter the ring with ‘Hinomaru Sumo’. ‘Chihayafuru’ and the third season of ‘Golden Kamuy’ also survived votes from our membership, who collectively declared “let’s keep watching these shows”.

POWA is also on the lookout for a new mascot! Our survey to poll the POWA community on what exactly they’re looking for will be closing on August 6th – which is also the date of our online quarterly General Meeting! To learn more and to tell us what would make your PERFECT mascot, view the survey here.
